Pico Laser Facial
What It Is
A pico laser releases light in extremely short pulses, each lasting a trillionth of a second. Because the energy arrives faster than heat can spread, it breaks up pigment largely by pressure, which keeps the surrounding skin calm and makes the treatment considerably gentler than a CO₂ laser, though the change is more gradual.

How It Works
Melanin, the pigment that makes a spot look dark, absorbs the laser light and shatters into particles your body can clear away. Those particles are carried off gradually over the following weeks, so discoloration fades steadily rather than disappearing overnight. Certain settings also deliver gentle warmth below the surface, which supports your own collagen and refines skin texture.
Your visit:
- We examine your skin and identify the type of pigmentation.
- We cleanse the skin and numb sensitive areas if you prefer.
- The handpiece passes over each area in short, rapid pulses.
- We finish with soothing care, moisturizer and sunscreen.
What to Expect
- Time: about 45 to 60 minutes from start to finish
- How it feels: quick warm taps, like a light rubber band
- Downtime: mild redness for a day or two, then light flaking
- Results: brighter, more even skin within one to two weeks
- How often: usually three to six sessions, spaced several weeks apart
