Melasma Facial
What It Is
Melasma appears as brown or grey-brown patches across the cheeks, forehead, upper lip and jawline. This facial treats those areas gently, with a thorough cleanse, very light exfoliation and layered brightening care. Melasma is a long-term condition, so we treat it as ongoing care alongside daily sun protection.
Great for:
- Melasma patches on the cheeks and forehead
- Uneven tone and general dullness
- Dark marks left behind after breakouts
- Keeping skin tone even between visits
How It Works
Melasma develops when the cells that make pigment become overactive, usually from sun, heat and hormones. Light exfoliation lifts away pigmented surface cells, and brightening ingredients help slow new pigment from forming. Because the trigger remains, daily sunscreen is part of the treatment, not an optional extra.
Your visit:
- We examine your skin and discuss your history, hormones and sun exposure.
- A gentle cleanse, followed by very light exfoliation suited to your skin.
- Brightening serums are applied, then a cooling mask to calm any sensitivity.
- We finish with moisturizer, sunscreen and a simple daily protection plan.
What to Expect
- Time: about 45 to 60 minutes, never rushed
- How it feels: calm and relaxing, with a mild tingle while brightening
- Downtime: little to none, though mild pinkness may last an hour
- Results: slow and steady, since melasma needs months of regular care
- How often: every three to four weeks at first, then spaced further apart
Good to know: tell us if you are pregnant, nursing or taking hormones, since we adjust the products we use. Mention any medications, allergies or skin conditions at your consultation, and wear SPF 30 or higher every day.
