What It Is

EMS, or Electrical Muscle Stimulation, uses gentle electrical pulses to exercise the muscles of the face and neck. A small handheld device passes a current through the skin, and the underlying muscles contract and release on their own. Nothing pierces the skin and no heat is involved, and the resulting lift is genuine but short-lived.

How It Works

The current reaches the nerves that activate your facial muscles, so each muscle contracts and relaxes repeatedly. Circulation increases at the same time, which is why the complexion usually looks pink and refreshed afterwards. EMS works on muscle tone and circulation; it does not use heat or build collagen.

Your visit:

We check your health history: implants, pregnancy, heart conditions.
Makeup is removed, the skin cleansed and jewelry set aside.
Conductive gel is applied and the intensity is raised gradually.
We finish with serums, a mask, moisturizer and sunscreen.

What to Expect

Time: about 30 to 60 minutes within a facial
How it feels: light tingling, a tapping sensation, small muscle twitches
Downtime: none, although the skin may look slightly pink briefly
Results: appear the same day and last hours to several days
How often: weekly for a course, then occasional maintenance sessions
